Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a tension between loneliness and connection, where muted black denotes isolation while bursts of electric blue and magenta hint at the flicker of connection amidst solitude. The palette was chosen to evoke a sense of machine-like coldness contrasted by vivid warmth. The central focus is on the broken pixel arrangement, signifying fragmented memory and moments of connection that invade an otherwise desolate space. The right-to-left flow creates a dynamic movement, suggesting the struggle between these emotional states. The presence of negative space symbolizes emptiness, further enhancing the theme of loneliness multi-layered with shallow connections.
