Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the push and pull between 'longing' and 'resolve', conjuring a sense of movement across the 8x8 grid. I chose a palette of deep blacks, dark violets, soft golds, and pale greens to embody hope amid despair, creating a rich emotional backdrop. The contrast lies in the center; a cluster of golds erupts from the shadows, suggesting breakthroughs amid constraints—an echo of aspiration against a backdrop of darkness. This arrangement captures the struggle between order and chaos, with broken pixels reflecting imperfections in the flow of emotion.
