Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between relief and dread through the use of a carefully curated palette of pale mint, soft sky, storm gray, near black, and faded gold. The colors reflect a gradient of light to dark, where the darker tones symbolize dread, creating a weight that compresses at the top of the piece, while the lighter shades represent relief, opening up at the bottom. The main collision occurs in the shift from the dense and heavy pixels towards the lighter escape, invoking a sense of rising hope. This intentional pattern of shatter conveys the chaotic interplay of emotions, where the broken pixels introduce moments of disruption amidst the structured release, reflecting the seed's exploration of contrasts.
