Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between control and surrender. The palette of deep black, stark white, and soft pale blue creates a duality; black represents control while pale blue embodies surrender. The center is densely packed with black, suggesting control and pressure, while pale blue peeks out in sparks at the edges, representing surrender and an open space. The collision occurs predominantly in the center where the black overwhelms the blue, creating a feeling of imbalance before a release at the edges. Broken pixels scattered throughout hint at imperfections, echoing real emotional experiences. The overall structure is asymmetric, creating a sense of unresolved motion, reflecting the struggle inherent in the themes of the seed.
