Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension of quiet against pressure through contrasting colors and abrupt patterns. A palette of soft hues representing quietness (off_white, dust_gray, faint_peach) collides with darker, more saturated tones that evoke a feeling of pressure (compressed_red, dark_navy). The flow is designed to create a diagonal argument, where softer tones loosely flood the top left, interrupted by jagged bursts of sharp, intense colors on the bottom right, embodying the shattering of calm. The usage of broken pixels serves as intentional disruptions, adding to the tension and imperfect beauty of the interplay between calm and stress.
