Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension between defiance and submission. The palette of navy, black, single white, and dim cyan contributes to a lonely yet complex narrative, weaving together themes of noise and silence. The main collision occurs at the center of the grid, where a burst of darker colors interrupts the lighter hues, symbolizing struggle. The defiant channels disrupt the quieter submission fields, creating a push-and-pull effect reminiscent of an inward spiral struggling against imposed boundaries.
