Artist Statement
This composition captures the tension between fear and hope through a deliberate use of dark and light colors. The palette oscillates between deep blacks and dark violets representing fear, contrasted by soft gold and pale green representing hope. The pattern employs a rising flow, emphasizing upliftment amidst darker edges, creating a push against the void. Broken pixels add an element of imperfection, hinting at the fragility of hope. The sharp vs. soft contrast embodies the struggle of emotions, while the negative space reinforces an empty yet hopeful center, allowing the viewer to feel a sense of weight and lightness simultaneously.
