Artist Statement
This artwork explores the tension between loneliness and connection through a palette that juxtaposes dark, muted tones with lighter accents. The dark blues and blacks create a sense of depth and isolation, while dim cyan punctuates the arrangement, suggesting brief moments of connection amidst the oppressive weight of loneliness. The left-heavy composition reflects the emotional pull towards loneliness, while the right side, echoing a more connectable vibe, uses lighter and slightly more vibrant colors to evoke warmth. The broken pixels disrupt the systematic flow and represent the imperfection of memory—each interruption signifies the fleeting nature of connection in a space dominated by solitude.
