Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tension between defiance and submission. The palette, influenced by the concepts of love and betrayal, consists of bold reds and soft grays, emphasizing the clash of strong interruptions against subdued fields. The top half represents defiance through glitch-like patterns showcased in bright, angular arrangements while the bottom half embodies submission with radial overlaps that evoke a sense of soft containment. The collision occurs at the center, where the two emotions meet, creating a dynamic push-pull effect. Intentionally broken pixels disrupt the flow, representing scars of conflict, while calm spaces allow for introspection amidst the chaos.
