Artist Statement
The artwork explores the emotional contrast between envy and gratitude, using a palette that evokes tension through dark and light hues. The black and red signify deeper feelings of letting go (envy), while pale blue and white evoke clarity and hope (gratitude). Color placement forms a deliberate split; the left side conveys a rising pressure through dense clusters of dark tones, while the right transitions toward calmer colors that suggest release. The pattern appears like ripples, suggesting an interplay between inner noise and outer calm, connecting the conflicting emotions, with jagged edges emphasizing abrupt shifts.
