Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tug-of-war between fear and hope. The palette, featuring deep blacks and dark violets, evokes a sense of weight and fear, while the inclusion of soft gold and pale green introduces glimmers of hope. The layout creates a sense of 'falling pixels,' where dark tones dominate the upper half, representing tension and anxiety, while lighter colors emerge from the depths below, suggesting an upward flow of hope. The collision occurs in the center, where dark and light hues interact, creating a tension that echoes the contrasting emotions of the seed.
