Artist Statement
This composition embodies the tension between rage and calm, using a palette of red, black, pale blue, and white to evoke strong emotional contrasts. The red represents explosive rage while the pale blue signifies calmness, creating a dialogue. The use of crosshatch patterns on the left signifies confusion and intensity, in contrast to the calm, cracked pattern of pale blue on the right, suggesting a gradual release from tension. The deliberate broken edges denote imperfection and disturbance, common to both emotions, while remaining true to the seed's notion of 'tiny face' as an echo of internal conflict, hinting at fragility amidst turmoil.
