Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies a juxtaposition of strength and vulnerability, captured in a palette that speaks to warmth yet acknowledges the weight of ash and brown. The clashes of soft and deep colors create a conversation between the pale light at the center and the surrounding darker fields. This shift represents exposure (pale gold acting as the exposed light) amidst the enveloping ash gray structure, reflecting elements of shelter. The primary collision occurs in the center where bright soft gold meets deep wine, conveying tension and connection against a backdrop of muted strength. The pattern and density suggest an echo of vulnerability against a frame of resilience, evoking feelings of connection and alienation.
