Artist Statement
This composition embodies the tension between longing and resolve, characterized by a split layout. The left half, representing longing, utilizes warm coral and soft amber tones, creating a feeling of distant warmth and emotional reach. The right half, embodying resolve, employs cool shades of cold slate and blue black to convey clarity and strength. The contrasting colors collide at the center, where a pressure band of darker hues interrupts the warmer colors, symbolizing conflict and the potential for repair amidst damage. Broken pixels disrupt the symmetry further, depicting the imperfections in both resolve and longing. This arrangement allows for a serene yet urgent dialogue through the patterns and emotional structure within the 8x8 grid.
