Artist Statement
The emotional tone encapsulates the struggle between vulnerability and strength, layered with moments of calm and overwhelming chaos. The palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green reflects the depths of despair contrasted with glimmers of hope. The collision occurs at the center where strong geometric patterns (strong pixels) interrupt softer, braided elements (vulnerable pixels), creating a dynamic tension across the square. The placement of broken pixels introduces intentional disruptions that mirror the theme of emotional scars, while maintaining a balanced negative space to allow breathing room amidst intensity.
