Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between relief and dread, symbolized through the chosen palette of vibrant yellows and muted purples. The light, cheerful hues echo the notion of relief, while the deeper blues and purples convey feelings of heaviness and dread. The contrasting colors are arranged in a mirrored layout, with a slight disruption to symbolize the imperfections of emotions—the breaks in the symmetry reflect the unpredictability of feelings.
