Artist Statement
This composition embodies the contrasting emotions of spark vs ash, capturing the essence of resilience amidst fragility. I utilized a color palette of bold red, deep black, pale blue, and soft white to evoke feelings of both excitement and calm. The largest portion of the square is filled with igniting reds and contrasting blacks to indicate a fierce battle between fire and ash. The 'spark' pattern of thread-like connections collides with patches of 'ash', creating a chaotic yet harmonious visual narrative. The central collision of colors suggests a core of hope battling against fading memories, symbolized by fragmented patterns and broken pixels, representing the imperfect nature of resilience.
