Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional conflict between fear and hope, expressed through contrasting color patterns and arrangements. The left side is dominated by deep blacks and dark violets that represent fear, employing jagged edges and maze-like structure, while the right side introduces soft gold and pale green hues symbolizing hope, radiating warmth and light. The zigzag pattern of the transition from dark to light creates a visual interruption, complementing the narrative of rising signals amidst chaos. Broken pixels add imperfection, embodying realism within abstraction, while also adhering to the rule of negative space to prevent overwhelming tension.
