Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between certainty and curiosity. The palette of sepia, tan, dust gray, and faded blue evokes a sense of nostalgia and complexity, contrasting firm boundaries with subtle hints of exploration. The top half presents a more ordered pattern with broken dots representing certainty, while the chaotic barcode patterns in the bottom half embody curiosity and disruption. The main collision occurs at the center, where these two contrasting elements interrupt each other. The presence of broken pixels adds to the sense of imperfection and tension, creating a visual dialogue that resonates with the seed's themes.
