Artist Statement
This piece expresses the emotional tension between confusion and clarity. The chosen palette of deep navy and dim cyan evokes a feeling of solitude and uncertainty, contrasting sharply against the vivid and stark use of white that symbolizes clarity. The left side, filled with dark and muted tones arranged in a chaotic structure, embodies confusion through a broken grid pattern, where overlaps and misalignments suggest a sensory overload. Conversely, the lighter, more systematic grid on the right side reflects clarity and organization, showcasing a repetitive 'teeth' pattern that feels structured yet still retains a balanced imperfect nature. The contrast lies primarily where the two sides converge, creating a visual pulse that speaks to the heart of the emotional turmoil described in the seed.
