Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies a struggle between vulnerability and strength, set against a backdrop of tension and solitude. The chosen palette of deep blacks and pale blues represents the depths of vulnerability contrasting with the stabilizing power of strength. The central conflict emerges from a collision of the rich deeper shades against lighter tones, which creates a breezy swath of pale blue amidst stronger hues. This arrangement echoes the themes of constellations and shattered mirrors, presenting a dance between the heavy weight of shadows and the ethereal lightness of exposure, resulting from the selected emotional contrasts. The interplay of strong edges and softer centers narrates a story of protection through tension, pulling from the seed's notions of safety and exposure.
