Artist Statement
The emotional tone emerges from the conflict between emptiness and desire. The palette features saturated warm colors like hot coral and blood orange to evoke desire, juxtaposed with cooler, muted tones like charcoal and hollow blue, which represent emptiness. The warmer colors dominate the central area, creating a 'warm pull' that is held back by the cooler borders, introducing tension through collision and contrast. The layout reflects an eroded symmetry, with scattered disrupted checker patterns representing emptiness meeting flowing rain patterns symbolizing desire, creating an abstract story of longing held within a confined space.
