Artist Statement
This composition captures the emotional tension of desire competing with emptiness. The palette, featuring warm hues like blood orange and hot coral, suggests a yearning presence, while cooler tones like charcoal and hollow blue represent the constraints of emptiness. The main collision occurs in the center, where the warm colors cluster, reflecting desire, while surrounding pixels offer a quieter field of blues and greys to illustrate the vastness of blankness. The disruption is intentional, with broken pixels scattered to symbolize the jagged edges of longing amidst restraint.
