Artist Statement
This composition explores the dynamic interplay between certainty and curiosity, with a palpable tension reflected in the contrast between the structured stack (representing certainty) and the maze-like disruptions (symbolizing curiosity). The dense lower half, utilizing dark void black and cosmic indigo, conveys a sense of pressure and constriction. As we move upward, cold gold and deep teal emerge, symbolizing the release of tension and the invitation to explore the unknown. The primary conflict occurs as the structured stack in the lower part collides with the maze-like patterns above, creating an engaging upward flow, embodying the evolution from a sense of confinement (cage) to liberation across the square.
