Artist Statement
This composition embodies the tension between clarity and chaos, evoking the struggle of signal amidst extensive noise. The palette, featuring deep navy and stark black, reflects solitude and intensity, while dim cyan acts as an accent and guide through the dense patterns. The main collision occurs at the center, where the braided signal emerges, attempting to communicate amidst a backdrop of split-screen noise that suggests static disruptions. The layout is designed to create an overfilled center, representing the memory's weight and excess, with negative space contained around the edges to evoke shelter. Broken pixels inject a sense of disarray, manifesting as intentional disruptions that mirror our fragmented experiences. This abstraction translates the emotions of isolation and interruption into a resonant visual narrative.
