Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between safety and exposure. The palette combines warm browns and greens to evoke feelings of shelter, contrasted by cooler pale skins and whites representing vulnerability. The main collision occurs centrally, where the tide pattern of warm hues gently meets the dot pattern of cooler tones, echoing the theme of pressure versus release. The broken pixels symbolize the imperfection in any protective barrier, while the eroded symmetry reflects the gradual unveiling of vulnerability amidst a securely framed environment.
