Artist Statement
The emotional tone contrasts 'panic' and 'control' through juxtaposed patterns and a palette that evokes a sense of nostalgia and erosion. The left half embodies 'control' with orderly gradients of tan and gray, representing structure and stability, while the right half breaks with chaotic cracks in faded blue and sepia, symbolizing disarray and emotional unrest. The collision occurs through the central break where distinct fading textures meet, evoking a tension between serenity and volatility, inviting the viewer into a narrative of fragmentation versus cohesion.
