Artist Statement
This composition embodies the push and pull of 'spark vs ash', where warmth and energy clash against cool, muted remnants. The palette features sharp crimson and warm white to represent the explosive spark, offset by the cool presence of carbon black and steel gray which evoke ash and restraint. The layout, 'island_and_sea', centers a dense cluster of bright colors surrounded by more subdued shades, creating a tension that suggests both vibrancy and heaviness. The slight imperfections mimic real-life scars of memory and the jagged edges of experience, making a visual echo of resilience and fragility.
