Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between resilience and fragility, represented through a palette of soft pinks and stark blacks. The predominant use of deep colors (67% black shades) signifies the weight of memory and the remnants of ash, while vibrant pinks provide bursts of contrast that reflect fleeting sparks of hope. The main collision occurs diagonally across the grid, where the bold accents meet muted hues, symbolizing the struggle between movement and stillness, a memory battling against erasure.
