Artist Statement
The emotional tone of this piece reflects a battle between clarity and confusion, translating into a visual language that embodies both structured chaos and moments of stillness. The palette of navy, black, white, and dim cyan was chosen for its stark contrasts, evoking a feeling of isolation yet hinting at clarity within confusion. The predominant use of black against the dim cyan provides depth, while scattered whites create an illusion of falling pixels, visually representing the seed's theme of 'falling pixels' and disruption. The arrangement features jagged edges which emphasize the uneven nature of the emotional landscape, showing how clarity can emerge from a broken grid. The use of broken pixels introduces imperfection, enhancing the feelings of confusion and creating tension between solidity and fragmentation. Overall, the abrupt disruptions in color and contrast embody a narrative of oscillating emotions—poised between calm clarity and overwhelming disarray.
