Artist Statement
This composition explores the dichotomy of restlessness and peace through a visual dialogue. The palette consists of red oxide for emotional heat, blackened plum representing deep introspection, muted cream symbolizing calm, iron gray as a neutral grounding, and a touch of small orange for vibrant interruption. The arrangement features a heavy blackened plum mass in the center, interrupted by lighter, warmer accents of muted cream and small orange. This creates a dynamic clash—contrasting peace with restless movement—invoking an emotional pull between stillness and chaos. The spiral counterclockwise flow suggests an ongoing struggle, while broken pixels introduce intentional disruption, reflecting the theme of imperfection inherent in memory and motion.
