Artist Statement
This piece captures the duality of softness and severity, with a tension between rounded, soft colors and sharp contrasting tones. The palette of powder pink, warm white, carbon black, steel gray, and sharp crimson evokes emotional weight, where pink and white suggest a softness that dominates around the center, while black and crimson represent severity at the edges. The collision occurs at the center—a radial pulse that gives way to a spiral motion, encapsulating both the inviting and the harsh. Broken pixels further emphasize this tension, introducing an element of imperfection to the composition.
