Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension between pressure and quietude, where a dense cluster of deep, muted colors representing pressure (dark navy and compressed red) occupies the outer edges, creating a weighted border. The inner 4x4 grid employs lighter tones (off-white and faint peach), introducing an airiness and sense of release. The collision occurs diagonally, where darker pixels interject with lighter fields, creating a dynamic interplay. Broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions, symbolizing shattering against the tide of density, aligning with the seed’s qualities of clarity and confusion.
