Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension between longing and resolve. The dark richness of blackened plum (#5B3A3E) and red oxide (#AA4A3B) captures longing, while muted cream (#E9D5B8) and iron gray (#7D7B77) symbolize resolve. The layout utilizes a diagonal argument where longing occupies the upper left, with dense, clustered color points representing desire, while resolve emerges in the lower right with steadier, more locked patterns. The patterns of stepwell and crack interact and overlap, creating a visual echo of both emotions, manifesting as agitation in the center and serenity at the edges. Broken pixels are intentionally placed to introduce imperfection, reflecting the chaotic nature of desire in contrast to the firm stance of resolution.
