Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between defiance and submission. The palette of deep navy and soft dim cyan juxtaposes a dark ground against faint light, illustrating the defiant core battling against a soft surrounding veil. The inward spiral layout invites a sense of pressing inwards while the edge sparks highlight points of conflict, reinforcing the main collision at the center of the square. Variations in color density create a rhythm of pressure and release, echoing the themes of the seed.
