Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between loneliness and connection, embodied through a juxtaposition of dark and warm colors. The palette of burnt orange and dark red evokes the ancient fire motif, symbolizing warmth and connection, while charcoal introduces a sense of solitude and contrast. The layout is top-weighted, with density increasing towards the upper section, creating a feeling of pressure that bursts downward, indicating the dynamic interplay between hidden emotions and exposed vulnerability. Broken pixels introduce imperfection, adding depth and a narrative of struggle, while maintaining ten percent negative space to enhance feelings of isolation.
