Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between tenderness and rage, using a palette that oscillates between saturated reds to evoke emotional intensity and muted blues for calmness. The upward climb of brighter pixels in the center disrupts the surrounding darker, heavier shades, representing the struggle to find hope amidst chaos. The use of broken pixels introduces intentional imperfections, echoing guilt and forgiveness, while maintaining a significant amount of negative space to capture the idea of quiet channels in the emotional landscape.
