Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects a dance between strength and vulnerability. The palette of black, lime, electric blue, and magenta illustrates the intensity of these feelings, where dark colors signify hard edges and strength, while lime and electric blue represent the exposure and fragility that follows. The top four rows evoke a sense of vulnerability, creating a lighter halo effect, whereas the bottom rows are densely packed and structured, embodying strength. The main collision occurs in the center, where lighter, exposed pixels meet the dense, vibrant colors—signifying a confrontation between the two states. A deliberate use of broken pixels throughout enhances the concept of imperfection and interruption, embodying the duality beautifully.
