Artist Statement
The emotional tone encapsulates the struggle between 'fear' and 'hope', creating a sense of tension within the composition. The palette utilizes deep blacks and dark violets to symbolize the oppressive pressure of fear, while soft golds and pale greens introduce glimmers of hope, suggesting light amidst darkness. The main contrast occurs in the center and edges, where the dense, dark pattern collides with the lighter, more hopeful colors, creating a visual pressure that ebbs and flows. The broken pixels disrupt symmetry, embodying the imperfections of emotion, while the layout centers on a small, glowing core, representing possibility within chaos. This pattern aligns with the theme of 'inside vs outside', where a small seed of hope is surrounded by waves of pressure.
