Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between fear and hope, utilizing a distinct split in the layout. The top four rows, reflecting fear, use dark colors and jagged patterns, creating a sense of density and pressure. The bottom four rows shift to lighter colors, incorporating rings and upward flow to represent hope. The contrast between the dark palette (black and dark violet) and the soft gold and pale green highlights the emotional collision at the vertical split. The broken pixels introduce imperfection, adding to the layered complexity. This visual interplay suggests an ongoing struggle, the separation yet connection of opposing emotions.
