Artist Statement
The artwork explores the emotional interplay between longing and resolve through a divided 8x8 grid. The soft sky and pale mint represent the yearning and delicate hope associated with longing, while storm gray and faded gold convey a sense of strength and determination for resolve. The main collision occurs in the center with broken pixels interspersed, representing the tension between repair and damage. The use of negative space is deliberate, allowing emotional echoes to emerge in contrast and fragmentation, creating a narrative of tension amidst a quiet backdrop.
