Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional dichotomy of loneliness and connection through a palette inspired by ancient fire. The deep burnt orange and dark red evoke warmth while simultaneously representing isolation, creating a tension in the palette. The contrast manifests through a top-weighted arrangement, embodying the burden of loneliness, while the wider negative spaces enhance feelings of exposure. The hidden and the exposed collide subtly, allowing quiet colors to break through the darker tones, symbolizing connection attempting to emerge amid solitude. The arrangement captures a pervasive rhythm, marked by clustering in certain areas that alludes to the heart of loneliness and a scattering that hints at delicate connectivity.
