Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tug-of-war between restlessness and peace, manifesting in a checker pattern that evokes motion juxtaposed against static fields. The chosen palette of deep blues and pale yellows reflects mourning and renewal, subtly hinting at the scars of memory while providing bursts of hopeful light. The main collision occurs at the center where a dense cluster of dark colors disrupts the otherwise tranquil lighter tones, symbolizing the inner turmoil that often resides beneath a calm facade.
