Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between loneliness and connection, employing a palette of sepia, tan, dust gray, and faded blue to evoke a sense of nostalgia and fragility. Lines of color stretch horizontally, creating a wave-like rhythm that flows from left to right, signifying a tumultuous journey through emotional landscapes. The contrast between the dense left side, filled with rich, warm colors, and the cooler, sparse right side emphasizes the dissonance of connections made and lost. The use of broken pixels introduces an element of imperfection, reinforcing themes of memory and disruption, while leaving significant negative space invites contemplation.
