Artist Statement
The emotional tone contrasts the softness of pastel tones against the severity of deep, dark shades, representing the duality between gentle acceptance (softness) and sharp reality (severity). The palette blends powder pink and warm white with sharp crimson and carbon black, creating a dynamic movement as the colors interweave. The main collision occurs centrally, where the dark tones abruptly disrupt the pastel layers, suggesting tension between emotional states. This asymmetric pattern reflects the spiraling motion suggested by the seed, creating a sense of upward and downward flow amidst a sense of weight, evoking guilt and forgiveness as the colors pulse against each other.
