Artist Statement
This composition reflects a struggle between the emotions of pressure and quiet through contrasting color choices and arrangements. The palette combines muted tones with bursts of intensity to represent quiet spaces and densely packed clusters. The placement of darker colors along the inner edges creates a sense of pressure, while the outer rows utilize lighter shades for calmness, enabling an escape into clarity. This interplay is amplified by the jarring transitions between smooth and sharp-edged arrangements, echoing the seed's themes of collision and tension. The central area remains intentionally less dense, allowing for negative space that evokes a sense of open possibility amidst the chaos.
