Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional tension between trust and suspicion. The palette mixes clean white and ice blue for trust with dark ink black and violet gray for suspicion, creating a conflict and depth. The main collision occurs in the center, where darker colors intersect with lighter hues, representing an overfilled center struggling against the edges. The pattern reflects a braid of suspicion encroaching on the negative cross of trust, while broken pixels introduce intentional imperfections that symbolize the fragility of trust amidst underlying suspicion. This abstraction flows from an emotional resonance of seeking clarity within chaos.
