Artist Statement
This piece represents the tension between loneliness and connection through contrasting placements and colors. The top half invokes a sense of isolation with dim gray tones disrupting the vertical flow, echoing the emotions of loneliness in a fragmented manner. The bottom half bursts with warmer tones of pink and red, creating a radial pattern to symbolize connection and warmth breaking through silence. The color palette leverages dark maroon and gray to foster a mood of depth, while broken pixels add a sense of imperfection, enhancing the emotional weight. The interplay between heavy and light tones along with the grid-like arrangement creates an abstract reflection of the inner-external dynamics suggested by the seed.
