Artist Statement
This composition embodies the tension between safety and exposure with a gentle color shift that radiates through the square. The palette of warm brown and cold white represents the duality of shelter and exposure, where warm colors soften the starkness of cold. The center features a quiet field of pale skin tones, representing the exposed core. The edges are framed with deeper hues that embody safety and protection. A disruption through broken pixels introduces moments of imperfection, echoing the fragile balance of presence and absence. The main contrast occurs vertically, with darker colors anchoring one side while lighter hues wash over the other, demonstrating the interplay of pressure and release.
