Artist Statement
The emotional tone is a tussle between clarity and static confusion, mirroring the concept of signal versus noise. The palette is anchored in navy and black which symbolize depth and absorption of unwanted noise, decorated with accents of dim cyan to signify moments of clarity. The design emphasizes a dense corner, representing an encroachment of noise, while the rest of the grid plays subtly with quiet spaces reflecting isolation. The patterns of patchwork against frames create the sense of a pulsing heart amidst a chaotic environment, suggesting moments of interruption and memory. The structure leans into asymmetry, emphasizing the collision of thoughts and emotions, with the main tension positioned in the heavily gathered corner's dynamic interaction with the quieter areas.
